What Volunteer Roles Are Available?

We are always looking for new volunteers to join our community.
For every trip we need a driver and a navigator, so you are still essential even if you do not have a licence!

The driver takes off in our fantastic Opel sponsored Combo van (drivers only need a standard car driver’s licence to drive these light vans). While the navigator keeps record of the food acquired and gives directions to the driver.
After collecting donations from stores, the food is then dropped off to one of our wonderful charity partners. This work is so rewarding, as our volunteers can see the direct impact they are making in tackling food waste and food poverty.

Can I Volunteer?

Anyone 18+ can volunteer as a navigator. To volunteer as a driver you must be 25 or over with a full clean drivers licence (Irish or EU).

What Commitment Do I Need to Make?

You must be able to devote at least one shift per fortnight, ideally for a minimum of three months.

How Do I Sign-Up?

If you are interested in joining our team, all new volunteers must attend a training session with us. All volunteers need to be able to follow procedures, especially relating to food hygiene and safety commitment and adherence to FoodCloud’s organisational values and policies. To sign-up and participate in our training session, please choose the location at the top of this page that you would like to volunteer in, and complete the associated form.
