FoodCloud was delighted to attend the November Web Summit, one of the most influential and international tech events in the world, aiming to bring together people interested in new ideas that change our daily lives.
Iseult Ward, FoodCloud co-founder, spoke on the food stage the first day about our app. Eva Longoria was happy to be the opening speaker!
FoodCloud also has a stand, allowing us to meet lots of people to learn how to push the boundaries on what we can do with technology. This year, 20,000 attended from all over the globe including business leaders from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Box and more than 60% of the Fortune 500.
FoodCloud attended lots of interesting talks on social media, entrepreneurship and eating crickets! Seriously. http://bittyfoods.com/. We also went to see three impressive young scientists from Cork, Emer Hickey, Sophie Healy-Thow and Ciara Judge, who took home the grand prize at Google’s San Francisco HQ for their innovative project using bacteria to increase yields in cereal crops.
As if the three days were not action packed enough, we attended an inspiring workshop with other social enterprises run by Change X.
All in all it was a great three days with brilliant speakers and gave us an opportunity to meet people working on cutting edge ideas.
