FoodCloud were honoured to have been given the opportunity by our partner AIB for CEO Iseult Ward to speak at their 2019 Future Sparks event held at Dublin’s Royal Dublin Society Venue (RDS). The event was a two-day careers fair held for 5th and 6th year students. It’s focus was to showcase some of today’s most cutting edge industries and technology, while also granting secondary school students access to some of Ireland’s most innovative leaders.
FoodCloud were also given a stand on the floor where the eager FoodCloud team were able to speak with the 5th and 6th year students about social enterprise, community, volunteering and food waste. Being able to highlight the importance of these key areas was a great opportunity for FoodCloud to inspire the next generation of leaders and increase awareness among teenagers.
The FoodCloud team had one of the most popular stands capturing the students with a quiz on food waste, live demos of our app, a wheel of fortune as well as a space showcasing some unusual foods that find their way into our warehouse . The stand was so successful that there was a constant queue at the stand of eager participants hoping to play the quiz and spin the wheel!
FoodCloud are extremely grateful to our partners at AIB for giving us the opportunity to participate in such an innovative event!
