It was a pleasure to welcome Richard Bruton, Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment and colleagues from the Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment to our Dublin Hub earlier this year. The Minister had just come from the SDGforum where he had announced a call for people and organisations to champion the Sustainable Development Goals.
Visited @FoodCloud this morning to see the excellent work they are doing redistributing thousands of tonnes of surplus food to charities all across Ireland. Today I also announced a call for people and organisations to champion the Sustainable Development Goals pic.twitter.com/LSVAkHQSgd

Aoibheann and Iseult spoke about our work to inspire people to take action to reduce food waste, about our involvement with the National Food Waste Charter alongside Tesco Ireland, Musgrave, Aldi Ireland, BWG Foods UC and Lidl Ireland, about our Gleaning project with Meade Potato Company and our partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
Our COO Emma Walsh then gave a demonstration of our App and showed how charities and communities can be connected via technology to suppliers and producers with surplus food.
