Sign-up Now! FoodCloud Volunteer Training Session in Cork

Our Food Rescue Project has been so successful in Dublin that we have expanded the project to Cork and are looking for volunteers in the area. We held our first Cork volunteer training session last month, and so many amazing have signed-up since, that we are holding another training session on the 12th of July – info below.

What is the Food Rescue Project?

The Food Rescue Project connects retailer with surplus food to charities that need it. To make this happen, we need a fantastic team of volunteers to collect food from retailers and deliver it to local charities on a daily basis.

What volunteer roles are available?
We are always looking for new volunteers to join our community. For every trip we need a driver and a navigator, so you are still essential even if you do not have a license! This work is so rewarding, as our volunteers can see the direct impact they are making in tackling food waste and food poverty.

How can I get involved?
If you are interested in joining our volunteering team in Cork, all new volunteers must attend a training session with us. The training session takes one hour and will cover basic food safety training, what is involved in the routes, and what it means to be a FoodCloud volunteer.

The next training session will take place on:

Date: Tuesday 12th July 2016

Time: 6-7pm

Location: L’Atitude 51, 1 Union Quay, Cork
