COVID-19 Volunteer Safety
The Irish government has recommended that; those over the age of 70 years old, medically vulnerable, pregnant women, and those with a weakened immune system, exercise judgement regarding the extent to which they engage with others and participate in activities outside the home. While FoodCloud welcomes your support, if you come from any of these groups, we strongly advise that you stay at home. You can continue to support us by following us on social media.
This is a volunteer position where you will have the opportunity to be a central part of the warehouse team. You will be assigned warehouse duties as per business needs, to ensure no good food goes to waste. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a warehouse environment while helping to support charities nationwide.
As a volunteer driver, you will be responsible for the delivery of surplus food to our charities in areas surrounding our Dublin, Cork and Galway hubs. You will drive a FoodCloud van to our partners and deliver their order as instructed by our hubs managers. Please note a category C drivers license is required.
Call centre support
This is an unpaid volunteer role that involves contacting our charities to complete a feedback survey. Each survey takes approx 10 minutes to complete. You will also be required to report and escalate charity queries, requests or complaints to the relevant teams. FoodCloud will provide guidance on how you can do this. This is a really exciting and rewarding opportunity to hear about the fantastic charity work being carried out nationwide. You will be part of a team completing essential research FoodCloud.
