The Thrive Together webinar series showcases best practices in food sharing projects. Each webinar highlights a specific theme and demonstrates how organisations and communities can come together to create sustainable food sharing practices in different ways.
In this webinar, we explore how to reduce the stigma of food support. Feed Cork features in one of our 4 case studies available here (https://food.cloud/academy/case-studies). Pastor Hamp Sirmans, Director of Feed Cork, and Sineád Colfer, Family Support Worker at the South West Wexford Family Resource Centre, will present how their organisations approach the issue of reducing stigma when providing food support. They will discuss strategies for making clients feel welcome and not judged and ways to help the surrounding community understand and support their mission.
