At FoodCloud, we work with food businesses across Ireland to ensure that when surplus arises within their operation, we can get it to our network of charities and community groups across the country to ensure no good food goes to waste.
We know that food waste can occur for a number of reasons across the supply chain. Food waste often occurs before products have even landed to be sold in supermarkets, which is why we want to make it as straightforward as possible for our supply chain partners to donate their surplus food to us.
The retailers listed below all authorise their own-label products to be sent to FoodCloud for onward redistribution to FoodCloud’s charity network and agree with the following statement:
“We are committed to helping our suppliers reduce food waste and we support them in their efforts to feed people first with edible surplus food, ensuring no good food goes to waste. For this reason, we authorise our suppliers to donate our own-label surplus product, without the need to de-package, to FoodCloud. FoodCloud operates a traceable, safe and secure way to redistribute own-label, edible surplus food to over 600 Charities and Community Groups in Ireland.”
