GFN has partnered with FoodCloud, a Dublin-based food bank that has developed a virtual food banking platform used in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Eastern Europe. Nando’s has adopted the Foodiverse app in Ireland and the UK to support their ‘No chuckin’ our chicken’ programme. In 2023, the business is on track to have its most successful totals yet, donating over 500,000 meals in 6 months which equates to around 124 meals per hour (mph).

Farmers

FoodCloud is working with farmers in Ireland as part of its Growers’ Project after a successful pilot programme run with the support of the Irish government and Tesco. The 2022 trial saw 30 tonnes of food redistributed with targets for the full project now doubled to 60 tonnes of produce, avoiding emissions of approximately 192,000kgs of CO2 equivalent.
